The Tampa Heights Community Garden was established in the summer of 2011.  A program of the Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association (THJCA), this community garden is part of the Tampa Heights Neighborhood Plan.

The Neighborhood Plan describes the vision of a neighborhood where all live in a safe, healthy, creative community of caring people.  Planning partners, Metropolitan Ministries and the Tampa Garden Club, began working with the THJCA in 2010.

The Tampa Heights Community Garden has twice been named the best garden in Florida and tied for best garden in the South by the National Garden Club, Inc.  More than 300 residents have been part of the garden.

Growing healthy gardens, growing healthy gardeners, growing a healthy community.

Northsite Youth Center and Community Garden

The Tampa Heights Northsite Youth Center is the addition to the southside community garden and community center.  This facility will service neighborhood families who reside in and around the northwest and northeast quadrants of the neighborhood, providing Pre-K educational and after-school programs, a community garden, nutrition/cooking classes, fitness program and a smoothie bar as an entrepreneur project for the teens.  The goal is to develop a strong, safe and healthy community. The Northsite Youth Center was built in 2019-20.
